Laser Spider Vein Removal

Spider veins are tiny blood vessels that are visible beneath the skin on the face and legs. Their jagged shape looks like a spider web. Spider veins are caused by cumulative sun exposure, genetics and skin conditions such as rosacea. Facial spider veins commonly cause persistent redness on the nose and cheeks.

How are spider veins treated?

Spider veins smaller than 3-mm in diameter can be removed using a laser. Laser light energy passes through the skin and is absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood. The blood in the spider veins is vaporized and the vessels collapse without damage to the surrounding skin tissue. The spider veins may appear darker immediately after treatment, but will gradually fade away over the next two to three weeks. Between two and four treatments spaced a month apart are typically needed for complete removal. New spider veins may develop over the years and laser treatments may again be performed to remove them.

What is the cost of laser spider vein removal?

Facial spider veins can typically be removed for only $100 per treatment. Additional cost may be incurred if the spider veins on the face or legs are extensive. Contact us to schedule a free consultation so that we may provide you with an exact price.
