Cosmetic Injection

Facial furrows, folds, lines, and wrinkles can be treated with various types of cosmetic injectables. Botulinum toxin injection, brand names Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Botox®, is the world’s number one selling cosmetic procedure. Botulinum toxin injections temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause furrows and folds in the skin between your eyes when you frown or squint.  Injectable fillers such as Juvederm®, Restylane®, Belotero Balance®, and Radiesse® reduce wrinkles, lines, and furrows by adding volume and fullness below the skin surface.  Fillers are also used for lip enhancement.

Cosmetic injections are offered at all three of our Austin clinics.  Contact us to schedule an appointment.  A complimentary consultation with our medical director is required prior to your first treatment.

Botulinum Toxin

Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Botox® are the brand names for the prescription drug botulinum toxin.  Botulinum toxin injections relax the muscles responsible for facial expression, such as those between your eyebrows. Facial muscles contract when you smile or frown. Eventually, over the years, permanent lines and creases will form in your skin as a result of these muscle contractions. Botulinum toxin prevents the muscle contractions thereby significantly reducing the appearance of lines and creases. Botulinum toxin is typically used to treat the furrows and folds between the eyebrows and as prescribed by a physician. Botulinum toxin injections should be repeated two or three times per year to maintain a more youthful appearance.
